If you organize meetups, welcome. And thank you. Running a club is such a generous thing to do with your time. You're creating new connections and making Philly a more joyful place. Merrie is a set of tools built for you in the same spirit.
We offer a group page your members can join, RSVPs per event, and email newsletters, all for free. There's a Canva-style tool if you want to create content to promote your group on IG or wherever.
We built Merrie to help clubs and communities organize for free without any drama. Facebook Groups are 🫣, Meetup is mostly ads about paying for Meetup. This site will always be free for a simple reason: it doesn't cost much to run it. There's no trick here. No surveillance, no ad targeting, no selling your data to corporate AI companies or anyone else. Merrie is useful but simple and that keeps costs low.
Merrie is for people who bring Philly together: clubs, crews, and communities. Plus the DJs, bands, and comedians with a show to share.
Posters & flyers
Add yourself to the directory (it's free). Organizers who need original artwork for their events can find you and reach out directly. We're just making the introduction. Local groups need local art!
Merrie is part of a movement to make tech local and more human scale. Events on Merrie are cross posted to the Neighborhood Commons so other local apps can surface them. That helps you reach more people. But it also means that your programmer friend could build you a Merrie replacement in a weekend. You're not locked in here, by design.
